Enjoy Fort Myers Beach: Tip 1 – Times Square & The Pier!
As you take the Sky Bridge into Fort Myers Beach the first thing you will see is…
Times Square and the Fort Myers Beach Pier!
(In the photo above, you can see Times Square, and the Fort Myers Beach Pier off in the distance – special thanks to Charly Caldwell for this photo!)
Times Square is actually named after the large clock tower just off the entrance to the beach, and is a one block pedestrian street designed for your entertainment.
If you are someone that enjoys walking around and taking in the local culture, you’ll have a blast.
Times Square is home to many restaurants near the beach and just off the beach, there are ice cream parlors with over 2,000 flavors, shops, and so more.
During the day, Times Square is full of beach-goers walking to and from the restaurants and beaches enjoying the beautiful sunny weather. By night, the bars open their windows and doors and the night entertainment begins.
If you enjoy live music, you’ll really enjoy Fort Myers Beach. If you love a great Margarita, and enjoy meeting new people while taking in the island lifestyle — you’ll feel right at home.
A main part of Times Square and Fort Myers Beach is the Fort Myers Beach Pier.
Just past the clock tower you will see the Fort Myers Beach Pier that is roughly 500 feet long. Halfway down the pier is a little store for candy, snacks, refreshments, and fun souvenirs.
Do you enjoy fishing?
The Fort Myers Beach Pier is a perfect spot to throw your fishing line over, sit back relax, and wait for a bite. After the sun sets, locals have been known to enjoy some late night fishing and catch sharks!
If you are someone that enjoys a sunset, then taking your family out onto the Fort Myers Beach Pier will be the highlight of your trip. It’s simply unforgettable…
